Having a variety of pollinators working in your vegetable or flower garden is a great way to boost your yields and practice sustainable gardening at the same time.The solitary leaf cutter bee is a cavity nester, similar in many respects to the mason bee, and being unable to burrow nests for their young, usually nest in abandoned beetle burrows in dead logs. While decorating your garden with rotting logs may not be an attractive option, this bee house crafted of upcycled cedar will provide a nice shelter and a bit of whimsy to your outdoor space. Simply hang it on a wall from its stainless steel hook, preferably facing East or South, or in a spot where the box will be sheltered and receive morning sunlight. Simple directions and leaf cutter bee habitat is included with the house. Please note this item is hand crafted from resawn cedar barnwood siding, beams and posts. The finished surface is sanded smooth; however, some houses may have nail holes, mineral stains from rusting, tool marks, wood checks and other cosmetic inclusions that add a wonderful patina.
