These eco-friendly sticks are composed of 80% sap wood sustainably harvested from the stump of the Ocote tree. A very resinous member of the pine family commonly found in Guatemala and Honduras, this wood has been used for thousands of years by the Mayan people for lighting fires as it is fast growing and naturally replenished. As such, these sticks which are dry to the touch, make ideal fire starters for your outdoor bonfire, charcoal grill or indoor fireplace. Approximately 12 sticks per bundle.
