This terracotta pot, handmade in Scotland using traditional techniques, will hold two cups of water when full. With its use dating back to the ancient Greeks, who referred to it as a water thief, this remains an ideal tool to water seedlings and delicate plants. To use simply immerse the thumb pot into a container of water then cover the hole on top with your thumb. Keep your thumb in place until it is over the plant you wish to water then lift your thumb to release the water inside.
